A strong, intensive Arabica coffee with fine fruity nuances, a rich base, fine sweetness and a pleasantly persistent finish. Carefully roasted according to traditional craftsmanship, Kaffa Wild Coffee is very low in acidity and particularly well tolerated.

Without plantation - pure and unadulterated

In the last remaining mountain rain forests of the Ethiopian province of Kaffa, the original home of Coffea Arabica, wild coffee still grows today, completely naturally and without being planted. But this genetic natural treasure is in danger of being lost due to increasing deforestation. The wild coffee project is designed to counteract this process: by collecting and selling wild Arabica coffee, over 6,000 farmers earn a secure income from the forest and can sustainably improve the living conditions of their families.

Together for the preservation of the rainforest

The wild coffee project gives the forest an economic value for the farmers. With its unique biodiversity and valuable wild coffee stock, the forest can be preserved as a natural resource.

Since 2010, the Kaffa region has been recognised as a Unesco Biosphere Reserve which harbours strictly protected core zones in which only wild coffee may be collected as well as transitional zones that include gentle use and development areas located on agricultural land. This offers a prime example of how nature conservation and economic development can sustainably be combined.
